I will say our site was the loveliest spot I could imagine. Waiting to be a tourist through the aquarium on the way to Denham. Will view shark feeding and lots of fish found in Shark Bay area. The fish in the aquarium pools were so visible and fascinating. Sea snake. The squid swimming was so beautifulVery poisonous and beautiful. Can’t remember name. The Stone fish were absolutely camouflage. Apparently quite prevalent in the shorelines and can be hidden under the sand. Highly venomous, local necrosis of limbs can occur.Called surgeon fish due to razor sharp blades. Crocodile flathead. Our new camp site in Denham. Beautiful weather.
We had an amazing couple of hours with four humpback whales who decided to make us and our boat their playmate. The tour guide Chelsea’s said she had never had whales spend time like this with a boat in the 7 years she has been working with whale watching. She was as excited as us.We spent a few hours with the boat engine off alongside the east side of Dirk Hartog Island. We didn’t have to move as the whales never left us.The water was so clear and glassy we could see all the whale activity even when they were below the surface. They loved coming right up to the edge of the boat before swimming straight under us. The noisy people were our excitable boat captain and her assistant. They were astounded by the amount of contact the Whales were making with us.Lovely sunset on the way back to Denham pier. Monkey Mia . Piccolo and her baby came to feed. It was a lovely sunny day. Piccolo and babyWe also stopped at “little Lagoon” and “Lagoon Creek”. The water in the lagoon was crystal clear. The Ocean that feeds the creek was also amass with ocean life. We stood and watched a school of sharks playing in the shallows. Also lots of little Rays, and jumping fish.Carnarvon foreshore.
