On the road to “Fowlers Bay” SA via Ceduna.Picked up our s core card at Ceduna and played first two holes. I forgot to put my scores in ……………. Guess why.?Steve keen to take some of these night shots at Fowlers bay Jetty. Fully Solar powered Jetty.We had to bunker down for a couple of days for weather. Gale force winds, rain. Not cold though. Still managed lovely walks on Ocean. Took me awhile to believe our trusty Jayco would survive.The sand Dunes at the edge of the conservation park are amazing.Sunset on our last night at Fowlers BayFowlers Bay Caravan Park camp fireNot much road kill so far this trip. Haven’t seen many big birds yet.Got to see Whales for the first time. Mums with babies at head of bight. Frolicking a wee bit with some nice “tails” and a little “Venting”. Mostly cruising around the vast Ocean.Hard to capture the whales on Camera. A little for far out. First camp spot on Nullarbor. We got there just on sunrise. Thanks Wikicamps – Called “Bush camp 50km wast of Nullarbor Road house” Lovely to have the fire from wood we picked up as leaving Fowlers bay.Cooked up a storm on the camp fire with all the veggies we can’t take through WA Quarantine tomorrow.Second night on Nullarbor. We had some lovely stars. Steve snapped me lying on the chair star gazing. Evie crashed out in Van. She is exhausted at night.Newman Rocks. Third night on Nullarbor. Evie strolling up the Eyre Highway just after sunrise. Only the odd truck to beware of.We stopped at “Russells tree” Our friends pointed us to this tree that was carved many years ago when Russell was migrating from Vic to WA. There is a story ……… You have to visit the tree to find out, or read the family plaque below.Esperance foreshore.We wanted to walk up Frenchman’s Peak but the road access would not allow the caravan so we chose Lucky bay to lookout walk. It was lovely. We moved on to “The Duke” where Steve camped all his childhood with his family. Sitting around our campfire at night. Kangaroos all around us.
